SITES FOR BEGINNER STOCK INVESTORS
Right now, I am taking a course in Stocks and Investing. I never knew stocks could be so easy to learn. Obviously, it is a pretty cut-throat area, but there are so many sites I am able to use in order to find stocks, research them, and learn investment strategies.
Yahoo finance gives so much information. they give a company summary of the stock price, beta, and many others, along with a company history, statistics, analysis, and SO MANY OTHER THINGS.
They give the most information for free but there are additional features that you can use when you buy Premium.
This is a map by Finviz. The map shows the top companies in 8 categories and then separated further into subcategories. The map shows how much of a market each company takes up, it's stock price, and when clicked on, will show you that individual company's stock information and a graph.
The Stock Market Game is a simulation of the stock market, based in real-time, real stocks, real prices, and real drops in the market. This is so good for beginners and is even a large scale competition, which, if won, can lead to big-time money rewards!
This is kind of like the stock market game, except way more basic and easy to understand and learn. It is a quick game which you can finish in about ten minutes. It is just to give beginners an idea of different types of investments.
Morning Brew is basically news about the business world. It releases news and information on companies, which is great for investors. If you see a company doing something great on The Morning Brew, you may want to invest in it. If you see a lawsuit come up for one of the companies you invested in, you may want to sell that stock before it tanks.
Marketing Dive is similar to Morning Brew but is aimed more towards marketing strategies and what new marketing companies are doing. They do have information on companies' popularity, which can be super helpful!
