HOW I ORGANIZE MY HOME SCREEN

MY HOMESCREEN LAYOUT

For my phone, I like to keep everything pretty and organized. Here is what I did that may inspire you.
First, I went on Pinterest and looked up the kind of background I wanted. Since it is fall, I wanted a fall themed background. I looked for one that had most of the objects and detail in he lower half of the image. I did this because I didn’t want my app boxes to cover the image, or distract from it. Also, if I had app boxes laying over an image with many objects or details, it could look very messy and not pleasing to the eye.
Next, I organized my apps by color, not by function. I always look for my apps by what color their icon is, so it only made sense to organize like this, plus I find that it looks better.
Next I labeled my app boxes by writing each letter of the title, and adding a space. For example h(space)e(space)l(space)l(space)o(space)
h e l l o
I also used only lowercase letters.
Next, I made sure that I only had four app boxes in a row. So any extra app boxes, I moved to another page so that they would evenly go across. I did the same thing with the apps inside of the boxes. You will notice there is no row of one app, or two. There are only rows of three. If there are any stragglers or extras, they will be moved to the next page of the app box
My app boxes are organized by order of the rainbow.
Finally, at the bottom of the screen, I didn’t want to leave the bar empty. I also wanted it to look nice and clean, so I took my basic black and white app (VSCO), which is simple and aesthetically  pleasing, and placed it there.
This final part is kind of really extra, but I like to be able to swipe and see my entire home screen background. To do this, I move all of my app boxes to the second page of my home screen, so that page one is empty.
You will notice in the “green” box, there is a small red banner with a number in it. I HATE THAT! If you go to settings and scroll to the bottom, you will see a list of your apps. Click on an apps name, then click “notifications”. You will see an option the says “banners”. Turn those off in order to get rid of the red circle for that individual app.
This is very in depth and very unnecessary, but I love the way my screen looks. It looks clean and fresh and organized which is very nice.
I hope this inspires you to organize your own home screen
